Very polite and helpful staff, buffet restaurant with "western style" Chinese food, free fresh fruits in the room everyday, very polite bell boys (they go on the street to get you a taxi, and always tell you the rate in case taxi drivers tries to get more money).
Some of the rooms (I slept I two rooms because left to Hong Kong for two days) are not clean; I think that first room was renewed so it look much better. Front desk staff does not speak good English, they only have one translator at the reception, and so during big traffic on check out there was big line of customers waiting for their turn. Because of that we almost late for train to HK. I don't know why they charge deposit on check-in.
I like the wi-fi connection. It's very useful and the transportation from hotel to pazhou canton fair
What I don't like was, I booked under double bed room, but they gave me twin bed room and the receptionist told me that double bed room is twin bed room. In my experience staying in any hotel in the world, double bed room mean double size bed.
We booked double bed but they booked us twin bed and the made them togather
The hotel is clean and modern and geared for business travels. It sits on the campus of South China Normal University, and so is ideally suited for people with business with the university. It is not near any of the tourist areas, but does have decent access to public transit.
There were some additional fees which Booked.net did not disclose, which were disclosed on other search engines, which made it appear that one got a better deal thru Booked.net when in fact everyone was offering the same price. The hotel also charged a $1000 RMB deposit on the card keys, which I thought was unusual.
It is really near to Canton Fair - a cab costs like 20 RMB. From train station taxi is 30 RMB, not more. Cab drivers are bastards so be careful :-)
A bit old school but at this price, you will not regret.
very convinient to meet friends in the uni.
I booked double, but they provide twin. If they speak fluent English, much better.
Impromptu service. Neat and clean room with decent size. Easy bus service to and from airport. 15 minutes drive to Pazhou exhibition center.
Little away of shopping area.
The room is quite clean and big enough, good view from window you can see most the university, very quiet,
The reception girl not so nice , unhospitality, unfriendly
Clean, good restaurant, nice breakfast, good organization for Canton Fair, english well understood.
all the shops are a bit far from the hotel. If you want to eat outside or do some shopping you must take a taxi.
Close to the conference hall Pazhou
No WiFi in the rooms, just cables
It is not particulaly convenient from the location point of veiw.
I asked for a double bed not a twin..
Large and quiet room; clean bathroom; close to East Railway station (to and from Hong Kong) and from Pazhou Complex (Trade Fair).
Floor and restaurant staff doen't speak English.
it has a refrigertor in room. rare in china.
same as all other hotels in china. hard, hard, very hard beds. we can not sleep at all on these.
Fast Internet; with two cables
Desktop (PC) provided, but too slow, better use own notebook to access internet
Good price, good bus service for canton fair, 10 minutes walking from Ganding metro station and malls, airport bus facility
Western restaurant is not western...is chinese style of food....
